Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an
infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 VIRUS. Most people who fall sick
with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without
special treatment. However, some will become seriously
ill and require medical attention (Thesis statement).
This Coid-19 pandemic has affected each
and everyone around the world in different ways. However, the effects of this
pandemic and its repercussions are endured differently depending on our social
standards in our societies. According Akat & Karataş (2020), during the pandemic, the hard living
situation pushed people to start adapting to study online and work online,
while, others have no other option but to be exposed to the deadly virus just
to be able to provide for their families.
Due to covid-19 pandemic, we have lost
lives and the death toll rose in the last two years, which is from the year
2020 – 2021. The death tolls experienced were between a certain age group
because of other health issues in their bodies. And this death tolls are still
been experienced in some countries around the world, and the governments are
supposed to find a way to prevent lose of lives.
The pandemic has also caused people to
loose their jobs and making them being frustrated leading them to get involved
with street gangs, robbery etc. The situation became hard on everyone, but for
those who were not lucky to find anther job are still exposing themselves to
the deadly virus trying to find something to put on their tables.
Covid-19 pandemic is more than just a
health issue; it is disrupting and affecting every aspect of life e.g family
life, education, finances, and agricultural production. To be able to protect
people from Covid-19 pandemic, the government needs to build stronger
partnerships with the health care sector and other social and economic sectors.
